"English Language Challenges "

Hi everyone, I hope you are fine. Today I will talk about my experience learning english at ubiveristy. I think I have learned a lot, but it could have been more. Almost every year, classes are interrumped by student mobilizations, which also affects english. I think that english class could be more demanding with student in class encouranging oral, written and listening participation in order to have more command of the language. Although it is difficult for me, I think it helped me a lot to exposed and speak in classes about familiar topics, watch videos, and answer the questions about those videos.

Regarding the blogs, I think that it helps to expand my vocabulary, helps to think in english and also to write. However it is important to receive a correction or feedback on how we are writing the ideas to improve and not make mistakes again. The blogs are a good tool, but face to face feedback, like classes how English 3, in which the teacher corrects you during the class, it´s a better one.

Usually, I have a lot of problems with English, especially when I have to talk, I lock myself up and my mind goes blank, I need to improve it for which I plan to talk with someone who knows English, expand my vocabulary and I will try not to be afraid to speak in english an pratice a lot.

Outside the class, I use english mainly to understand movie´s dialogues or understand what the singer saying in english songs. Also, I use the english language to read instructions for how to use some devices.

Regards and see you soon.

CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

Hi everyone, i hope you are fine.Today I will talk about a very difficult and controversial topic: The curriculum of my career. Well, I studied “Licenciatura en Artes con Mención en Danza at Universidad de Chile”. The enviroment and the people are fantastic, but the career has serious problems in workload. The study day starts at 8.30 am and ends at 6 pm almost every day. I think that this career has unnecesary obligatory subjets like “Taller interdisciplinar y Cursos de Formación General” I don´t have complaints about practical classes because the dance requires a lot of practice. Another thing i don´t like is that the degree lasts 6 years without counting one year of specialization, I think that the first year called “Etapa básica” it is unnecesary too.

The faculty facilities are very precarious. The elevators fall down and are too old, the dressing rooms are not enough for everybody. However we have two giant dance halls and others smallers rooms. The problem is that there are so many courses, enrollment has increased and space is not enough. We use technology but not so much, because our practice does not require it.

The focus of our dance school is somatic, we learn Body Mind Centering (BMC), Bartenieff and others, besides having ballet and modern dance. The method is practical, we must practice a lot, it is tiring, but very entertaining, and the teachers are very loving and kind.

I think it is necessary to improve the building and  reduce the workload

"SONG(S), MIXED OF THINGS"

Hi everyone!, I hope you are fine. Today I’d like to share with you a song than I love a lot, it is  named “Zombie” by Fela Kuti, artist and political activist.  This song is from 1976 and it is about millitaries, who acted and repressed to the Nigerian people after receiving orders. The interesting thing about this is that the song gives a strong criticism of the political system, the musical style was created by Fela Kuti: “the afrobeat”.  The rhythm of this song makes you not want to stop dancing and maybe that´s one of the reason why I like it so much.

Another song that I love because it brings me good memories is “La Cosquillita” from “Juan Luis Guerra y los 4-40”, this album was put on the market in 1994.  This song is a meringue, which is very, very, fast & happy and when I dance it leaves me exhausted. I remember dancing  this song with my dad at family parties and spinning around until I´m dizzy what makes me very happy.

Although there are many songs that I like a lot, I must say that in general, I really like music that allows me to enjoy and dance alone or in company.

See you soon.

FOUR-LEGGED FRIEND

Hi everyone, I hope you are well and that you have courage at this time of year. Today I will tell you about my four-legged firend, almost all dogs. In my life I´ve hada round five or six dogs, that gave me a lot of love and happiness. They were “Samuel”, “Coya”, “Panchito”, “Aucan” and “Antu”, that is still alive with me.

Well, “Antu” means  sun or light in “Mapudungun”, he arrived at a very difficult time in my life, when I was with deppression five years ago. He came to illuminate and brighten my life and home ith his tenderness and madness, because he was a very fluffy destroyer of chairs and underwear. It was like Stitch of movie.

“Antu” is very important and I love him because is it´s fun, he likes us follo him when he steals our clothes, also he accompany me when I´m sad, and because he likes to be caressed and because he is like a bear.  “Antu” is amazing an I think it´s very difficult explain how much important and I love him.

See you soon.

Best Holidays ever

Actually, it´s very hard to decide for my best holidays ever, because I had many wonderful experiences, one of the most beautiful as in february, 2016. Traveled to "Austral road" specifically in chilean "Patagonia". This travel was between the second an the last eek of february month, approximately 15 days.

This holidays was very special, beacause was the first travel ith my boyfriend Beto, ith whom we had only been together for 3 months, so it was a test ride. Fortunately everything was fine.

The main activity we carried out was trekking for Nationals Parks of Aysen, go to "costumbristas" locals, drink beer in the Beer fest of "Puerto Aysen", eat typical food, walk an hitch-hike to reach new places.

It was one of the one best holidays because I could visit a lot of beautiful places and landscapes from chilean Patagonia like "Cerro Castillo" national park, this one was very hard physically and psychologically.

Also we could navigate th "General Carrera Lake" until "Capillas de Mármol" with a mixture of celestial colors of the rivers that flow into the lake. Colors that I never seen in nature. The last destination was "Chile Chico" and steppe place know as The Valley of the Moon" in "Jeinemeni National Reserve", simply beautiful.

Well, finally I must say that travelling to these places with my boyfriend was very awesome, because we could met each other well, we accompanied each other and we really got along.

Here are some tips. Try not to carry on 23 kg in your backpack while you are trekking, being well dressed help to hitch-hike, and finally try to travel with a lot of time and money to enjoy all the onders and beauties of Patagonia.

See yoy soon.

Iceland is an island from northern Europe, it´s a country with population of 350.000 and has the first place of global peace, it´s a safe country and they have a museum of viking culture. Is Björk country of origin and it´s energy source is geothermal.

When I go to Iceland, I would like know the volcanos, hot springs, glaciers and Mýrdalssandur location of different movies how Rogue One: Star Wars Story and the Sense8 serie. Also, I would like to go trekking in these places and see how the city mixes with the geography.

Actually, I don´t like study, work or live in Iceland, because it´s a country very, very, very cold, the máximum temperature is 14°C in July and I do not enjoy much cold, for that I just want to visit, maybe in future who knows.

Post 3: Someone I would like to meet

Well, It`s very difficult to say "I would like to meet", but I tell about J.R.R.Tolkien; maybe it`s a little nerd, but I love the books written by him as the trilogy "The lord of the rings" and the books connected with these.
J.R.R. Tolkien was British, a He was born in Orange, Africa, the January 3 of 1892. He was an orphan   with 12 years old and he went to live to Birmingham, when he learnt ancient languages and others as Greek, Latin, French, English, Welsh, Finnish and Icelandic. With all this material Tolkien as well as create sounds and new language for his mithology books characters.
He traveled with his 12 friend to Switzerland, trip that was inspiration to write "The Hobbit". In this book, Tolkien created all the world in the Medieval Period and the fight between good and evil. Also  new characters appeared  from his imagination as, hobbits, elves, men and dwarf.
Then this book, that was a success, the publisher asked for other books, The trilogy "The lord of the ring".
Well, I read almost all the books of Tolkien, I saw the adaptations to the cinema, and I love this world. because for this wrote about Tolkien, for his big imagination, beautiful account and way of narrate the Medieval history through of fiction, and the way entertaining.
